Richard. I enjoyed reading your story a lot. I wish I had known about the event. as I have wanted to catch our mutual friend's act. It also would have given me a chance to catch up with two (hopefully fully dressed) good friends. I like your Rosh Hashana joke. I think the naked metaphor is perfect when it comes to getting up on that stage. "There is no ambiguity in silence" is a wonderful aphorism.
Like it--as usual! Laughed a little too. Then thought of my niece who did stand-up for years, in NYC (tough-tough) and Minneapolis (where, being Norwegians, they laugh out of politeness if nothing else), and now she's a crackerjack therapist with a large clientele. It shows you what comedy can lead to.
Thanks for reading and responding. That always brightens my day. I think it's a bit late for stand-up to lead me anywhere, but that's not going to stop me!

Can't wait to attend your first gig! And many huzzahs to your friend's bravery!
It was Laszlo!
I know. Wish I could have seen him up there.
Mon cher Richard! Thank you for your jokes; we need a bit of laughter in dire times. Like: in front of the Sacré Coeur
Yes! Devant le SC!! My next venue.
All the difference in the world as you say. Good for you if you really are planning to go for it.
PS, I hope I thanked you for reading French Dirt three times! My gosh!
Hope I don't chicken out!
