Richard. I enjoyed reading your story a lot. I wish I had known about the event. as I have wanted to catch our mutual friend's act. It also would have given me a chance to catch up with two (hopefully fully dressed) good friends. I like your Rosh Hashana joke. I think the naked metaphor is perfect when it comes to getting up on that stage. "There is no ambiguity in silence" is a wonderful aphorism.

Like it--as usual! Laughed a little too. Then thought of my niece who did stand-up for years, in NYC (tough-tough) and Minneapolis (where, being Norwegians, they laugh out of politeness if nothing else), and now she's a crackerjack therapist with a large clientele. It shows you what comedy can lead to.
