Delightful to catch Nature in her act! I could see the whole scene so clearly from your description and felt uplifted also. When people ask me, "Where do you get your news?" I tell them, "From Mother Nature---she never lies."

They are my favorite birds in my yard on the North Fork of Long Island for all the reasons you mentioned. What a gift to see the fledglings leave - they usually manage to take off when no one is watching. They’re full of little miracles.
