Delightful to catch Nature in her act! I could see the whole scene so clearly from your description and felt uplifted also. When people ask me, "Where do you get your news?" I tell them, "From Mother Nature---she never lies."
They are my favorite birds in my yard on the North Fork of Long Island for all the reasons you mentioned. What a gift to see the fledglings leave - they usually manage to take off when no one is watching. They’re full of little miracles.
So glad you got a pic of the fledgling. it's expression is priceless.
Lovely sweet moment in life.
Pure sweetness! This post brought me so much joy, holding my breath for those tiny birds!
Thank you, Marnie. It always brightens my day when I hear from you.
A great moment, and great drama in the narrative.
Thanks, Greg.

Sooooo true!
Beautiful! I especially loved this one. To the birds and to Richard and Gaywynn and their care for them.
Thank you, Randy! I'm most appreciative.
Your description of the Carolina Wren is spot on! Lovely piece
Thank you, Patty.
Thrilling, right? The adorable wrens, so tiny, so sweet-tempered (or so I imagine)
So far, they've shown me no reason not to believe that!
